Mumbai: Preparations are underway to resume the IPL 2021 edition, which was halted halfway due to Corona, starting September 19 in the UAE.
The BCCI has decided to hold the remaining matches of the IPL in the UAE as the corona plague in India has not abated. The BCCI has announced that the remaining 31 matches of this edition will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah from September 19.
It has also been revealed that this year’s IPL final will be held on October 15. A BCCI official said the cricket board was keen to finish the tournament within 25 days.
A few more foreign players have dropped out of the IPL this time. We have been contacting and negotiating with foreign players when asked about this. Foreign players will appear in the tournament if the talks bear fruit. Otherwise we will take the next steps.
The 2020 IPL has also been canceled as the tournament was successfully hosted by Bio-Bubble in the UAE.
