Chennai: ADMK’s ousted leader VK Shashikala has issued a return to active politics.
The audio clip of a phone conversation between VK Shashikala and the party cadre is viral in which he expresses his desire to return to politics after the Kovid epidemic has subsided.
ADMK defeated DMK and lost power in assembly elections this year. Speaking on the telephone, Shashikala tells the cadre of the party cadres, “Do not worry about anything. Let us resolve the differences in the party.
After his ouster from the ADMK and going to jail, Shashikala said he would retire from politics in March. He said he would do something besides politics.
Sasikala, who was a companion of Jayalalithaa, the late former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, said, “I am trying to restore the golden rule of my elder brother Jayalalithaa’s administration. I ask God to grant me the power to lead Tamil Nadu.”
After being released from jail last February, Shashikala has been living in the T urban area of Chennai. He was sentenced to four years in prison for illicit property gain.
E Palaniswami was made chief minister with Sashikala’s support. However, O Pannir Selvam faction dismissed Shashikala from the ADMK. Pannir joined the Selvam faction after standing up against Sasikala. In September 2017, Shashikala and Dinakaran were fired from the party.
