The number of active cases has risen to 17,13,413 as the number of daily infections in the country continues to rise.
In the past 24 hours, 2,11,499 people have recovered and the number of recoveries so far has reached 2,63,90,584.
According to ICMR, 21,59,873 people in India have been tested by Corona and 35,37,82,648 have been tested.
On January 16, Prime Minister Modi launched the home-made Covision Shield and Kovacsin Corona vaccine in India. Then all the citizens over the age of 45 were given the vaccine. The vaccine is being offered to all 18-45 year olds starting May 1.
According to the central government data, 22,10,43,693 people have been vaccinated since the vaccine campaign began.
