“Lock down” extension in Delhi

The Kejriwal government has extended the “lock down” in the national capital for another week. With this, the “lock down” will continue in Delhi till June 7. However, the government has given permission for the resumption of manufacturing and construction businesses with certain conditions. The Delhi government has directed businesses resuming operations to strictly adhere to the “corona” rules. However, government officials will conduct “Kovid-19” diagnostic tests for employees attending to duties in the respective businesses. In Delhi yesterday (Saturday) there were 956 new “corona” cases and 122 deaths due to “corona”.

Judging by the statistics of the last two months, Delhi recorded the lowest number of “corona” cases yesterday. The “corona” virus positivity rate has dropped to 1.19 percent from 36 percent in March. On March 22, 21,823 “corona” cases were registered in Delhi, which is now less than a thousand. With this, as the number of “corona” cases decreases in the coming days, CM Kejriwal said, “lock down” relaxations will increase. He said the government’s goal was to restore the economy by putting economic activities back on track.
