Former CBI Jedi Veevi Lakshminarayana spoke on the importance of mother tongue at a virtual conference organized by the AP Private Schools Association on National Education Policy. He believes that mastery over the mother tongue is essential for expression. The AP government has decided to introduce a new CBSE education policy. Schools must have certain standards in order to implement this. For this we need to become cooperative systems. It was suggested that this approach would facilitate the utilization of facilities wherever possible. According to the national education system, primary education should be taught in the mother tongue. Lakshminarayana said that due to teaching in foreign languages, students are not able to learn both mother tongue and other languages.
