New Delhi: Widespread rains are expected in the northeastern states for the next five days as the southwest monsoon continues to intensify, the National Weather Forecast Center said.
According to a report released by the National Weather Service, southwest monsoon and hurricane force winds are intensifying in and around the Himalayas.
Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim are likely to receive heavy rains today as the southwest monsoon improves in the central and northeastern states of the Bay of Bengal. Also, it will rain widely in the northeastern states for the next 5 days.
