Paris: Roger Federer of Switzerland, the record 20-time Grand Slam champion, has been knocked out of the French Open tennis tournament.

Federer has been knocked out of the tournament in a surprise development despite entering the fourth round of the ongoing French Open 2021 tennis tournament. According to sources, Federer has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

Federer has played six games in the last three years after knee surgery.

Commenting on this, Federer said, “After discussing with my team, I have decided to leave the French Open today. After two knee surgeries and a year of re-hob (rehabilitation center) I need to focus on the health of my body. It is very important that I recover quickly on the path to recovery. Already wearing a belt and playing 3 games gave me an exciting experience. The bigger feeling than returning to the field again is that we will be back soon.

The 39-year-old champion is currently facing a fitness problem and is looking forward to participating in the long-awaited Wimbledon tournament later this month. For the same reason as a precautionary measure he is anxious to rest the body to be fit for the tournament.

Federer fought alone for 3 hours and 36 minutes
Federer, ranked eighth in the third round of the men’s singles on Saturday night, beat Dominic Koofer of Germany 7-6 (5) 6-7 (3) 7-6 (4) 7-5. The match lasted for 3 hours and 36 minutes. This is also said to have affected Fedor’s leg health.
