Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy has made it clear that he will not accept the decision-making power over state development and setting up of ports in the hands of the Center. Speaking exclusively to NTV, he said, “We have our objections on the Indian Ports Draft Bill 2020. He said he had asked the Center for a month to study and fully object to the allegations. He said the ports were not on the joint list. On the other hand, in response to Tamil Nadu CM Stalin’s letter, Gautam Reddy said, “We agree with the contents of Stalin’s letter. If necessary, we will talk to the coastal states. We will not accept the decision of the Center on state development and setting up of ports. We will proceed only after considering the views of the states.” Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy said on the occasion that Mansukh Mandaviya had made it clear.
