Santo Domingo, June 7 – Mehul Choksi says he left India to seek medical treatment in the United States. Choksi fled to Antigua and Barbuda, a North American country. Choksi, who recently tried to flee Cuba from Antigua, was arrested in Dominica, another island nation nearby. The federal government is involved in efforts to extradite him to India. The case is being heard in a Dominica court. In this case, Choksi has filed an affidavit in the court stating: In India, I have not violated the law; One who respects the law. When I left India, the law enforcement officers did not issue any arrest warrant against me. I left India to seek medical treatment in the United States.
