New Delhi: Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is lodged in jail in connection with the murder of a young wrestler, has been urged to provide him with special food.
Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar has filed an application in a Delhi court seeking special food and supplements in jail, which will be ordered tomorrow.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satveer Singh Lamba reserved the order after hearing legal and protection disputes. Sushil, who is facing murder charge of a young wrestler, is currently lodged in Delhi’s Mandoli Jail.
In the petition, Kumar’s advocate Pradeep Rana said clients would take supplements such as separate protein, omega 3 capsules, joint capsules, pre – workout C4 and Hyde, multivitamin GNC, exercise bands. Denial of these basic requirements will have a huge impact on their career, the petition added.
On June 2, the district court remanded Sushil in judicial custody for nine days. He was arrested on May 23 and questioned by police for 10 days.
